Greetings:

Hi Family, I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to share some exciting updates and ask for your support in a new venture that means a lot to me. I’ve been working on several manga comic projects that are really starting to gain traction.

One of my projects, "Epic of Buckinsport," is particularly special because it’s all about our community and hometown.

I also have other titles like "No Retreat No Surrender," which is centered around my own story, "Camp Geechee," inspired by Gullah Geechee culture, and "Phoenix Syndicate," a fitness-inspired manga.

Here’s what I’ve accomplished so far:

Featured on the news and in SC Voyager Magazine

Attended LA Comic Con last year and will be attending again this year

Will be a vendor at Dream Con this year

Sold out at my first LA Comic Con appearance

Published two issues, with more in the works

My next convention is Dream Con, which runs from July 26-28th.

I've put in for a $2000 grant to help with travel and publishing issues, but I was recently informed that although the grant was supposed to be awarded already, they won't make final decisions until July 15th. This leaves a lot of room for concern that I won't get the funds in time. To continue developing these projects and ensure my participation in Dream Con, I need some financial support. Each issue costs about $1,000 to produce, and I also need funds for travel, upcoming conventions, trademarking, publication, and other expenses. I’m asking for your help in investing in these projects. Your support will not only help me bring these stories to life but also shine a spotlight on our community and heritage. Thank you for considering my request. I believe in the potential of these stories, and with your support, I know we can make something truly special.
